My Honey's Bear

My Honey got a big ol' bear Saturday night. He weighed 370. One shot to the head, 60 yards away. It took 4 grown men (Ken-Tim-Jonathan & Donovan) and 1 lady (me), a wheel barrow, ropes and 7 hours to get him home. Bear rug, pepper sticks, teriaki sticks and breakfast sausage coming right up =)

24!

Today I start my 24th year! My goal in the 24th year of my life is to really make the most of every moment, every situation and every relationship.

We made it out of the fire....

Tim & I were coming home from Medford.  We smelled the truck getting hot.  When we pulled over Tim opened the hood there was smoke then things started on fire.  It went fast, hot and loud.  We had just fueled up, so as soon as the flames started moving toward the tank we decided not to risk saving anything else.  We are perfectly fine and we are so thankful for that.  

Another update

Surgery is now to be performed at 7:30 tomorrow morning.  Dono got some liquid meals down.  Dad stayed with him during the night and said every time he woke up they would work on cleaning him up some more so Mom says he looks pretty good.  He still seems very positive too!  Everything is going to be okay!

Jonathan said that Donovan is very alert, talking and joking w/ them =) Swelling in his face has gone down some too. Surgery is going to be performed tonight now! Dono is happy about that he said the sooner the better! =)

Little brother Donovan was in a logging accident early Monday morning. He was flown to Mercy Medical Hospital in Redding, CA. He is stable in ICU as of this morning. They plan on doing surgery Wednesday morning (they want to wait to do surgery to be sure his brain is stable). They will put a plate in place of his chin, sew his bottom lip inside his mouth and on the outside to his face, sew a small cut on his chin, align his teeth and wire his jaw. Both Doctor and nurse say that after surgery and dental work there should be no trace of the accident, he will still have his handsome face and smile. Doctor will check on him again Thursday night. He may be released Friday. Family is doing well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. love tim and bren

Catching up with the year here! =)  In February we took a trip south.  Tim had a tour and test with Northwest Lineman College in Oroville, CA.  We also had a wonderful time and stay with Breck and Britna!  Tim received an acceptance letter from the college last month!

My mailing room =)

My apartment now looks like a mailing room! =) This is very exciting because this means we have everything we need to start getting invitations out! I went and bought stamps yesterday, and after stating that I wanted to buy 300 stamps the postal worker asked if I was aware of the postage increase. 2cents on May 11th? I said this is for my wedding-I can do this-I'll get it done =) She was smiling because her daughter is getting married in August! She started pulling out different stamps for me to choose from. The guy being helped at the next counter suggested that I go w/ the baseball stamps =) I've never had such a fun visit to the post office lol It's crazy all we can get done when we are under the pre-wedding stress spell lol =) Tim and I's schedules seem to be getting fuller each day we get closer to our big day! =) It's great =) We can't wait!

My family-our faces

So- in my family our faces tend to say what we are thinking =)  Often our thoughts are read by others when we never even speak.  I wanted to share an example by posting a picture of me trying on wedding dresses =) 

"Um-okay yeah this is a beautiful dress-but not for me.  Kk-moving on, next dress." =)  After the wedding I should post the picture when I tried on "my dress", big smile!
