Oh happy day!

Okay so some of my post have probably seemed a bit hard to understand.  For example, this sentence, "I'm  learning to be strong & independent, handling everything while Tim is gone..."  Those who have read were probably thinking, "What does Brennan have to handle & need to be strong & independent for?!  They have no kids, are renting, she is a home maker & have no pets!"  WELL, I can finally tell you!  We signed our final loan approval for our HOME in Bakersfield yesterday!!!!! We are so excited!  We should be getting keys next week!  So, I better get back to packing!  You all have a wonderful weekend!  Hugs T&B

Sooooo happy!

I guess this is the life of a lineman wife =)  Tim brought home news tonight that he will no longer be leaving mid September till the end of the year but mid October till the end of the year!  Yeehaw!  The sooner I learn to be flexible & willing to go with whatever comes, the better life will be!  I'm  learning to be strong & independent, handling everything while Tim is gone & to be able to assume my half of the relationship when he  gets back.  Tim is on call this weekend but has Monday off!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Hugs

Semi sweet

August 2011

Friday around 3:30 my honey came home!  I was so happy to see him & to have him home till he had to attend school in Livermore again (one of the first months of  2013,or so I thought.)   My joyfulness was short lived as later in the evening Tim received a call from his foreman.  I understood from Tim's  side of the conversation that, he will be home 3 weeks & then gone till the end of the year.  Maybe home on some weekends.  While Tim was gone, I thought of this possibility & I would tear up just thinking about it.  The good news is that I'll be able to go with him sometimes.
I don't need to write our life story. I'll just say, what makes this hard on our hearts, is this has been our situation since we got married (being apart quite often.)  And as I say this, I feel guilty, because I know I  have so much.  I am thankful & I love Tim so much!  I could be in other ladies situations, being single or a widow.  But, I have a loving husband that wishes he could be home, but can't be.  Although sometimes it feels that I'm all alone & have to continue & be strong, again & again....I'm so thankful for my faith/trust in God,  for the fellowship meetings, that Tim is a big part of my rock & I have my dear family & friends.  Sometimes, I just get so tired of being strong or putting on the front that I am being strong.  And that's what happened Friday night, as a slight possibility came true, I  fell apart.
Tim & I know we will get through this, its just rough on our hearts right now.  Because we do love each other & we are supposed to be together.  I'm sorry, if I sound like I'm complaining, I took the liberty to pour out my heart & yes be weak.  Tim has a good job & we are very thankful for this.
Thank you for your love & support, T&B

Light

‎"If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, you aren't looking far enough ahead."

My thought is if we are serving God faithfully each day, time doesn't matter and there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Prayer

"Prayer is a mighty source of power, without it we will surely fail."
I love the sweet comfort in the place of prayer & the sweet peace when  prayers are answered.  And then with answered prayers, my faith & trust grows.  God's plan is so perfect.  I feel three of my prayers were answered this last week.  I feel so thankful.

2012 thus far

January: Bakersfield has some great bike paths!  Tim got Brennan a bike for Christmas and Brennan got Tim a bike for his birthday so they are looking  forward to a healthy year!  Tim’s family comes down to Bakersfield and help Tim and Brennan ring in the New Year at their friends, Kenny and Darla Thompson!
February:  Tim and Brennan take their first trip over to San Luis Obispo, CA and enjoy spending time with Jon George, Caity Stack and a whole crowd of great kids!
March:  California High School Sate Wrestling Meet is held in Bakersfield!  Tim’s Dad comes down and they all enjoy 2 intense days of wrestling meets.  Tim works a week away in Fresno and has two weeks of an Advanced Climbing Course in Livermore.  Seanna surprises Brennan with a plane ticket to fly out to Arkansas and surprise all the family!  They have a great time all together in Arkansas.

April:  Preparations for church convention in Buttonwillow, CA start, Tim and Brennan enjoy many sweet days with great friends.  Tim and Brennan are happy to get a call from Donovan George and Kayla Pappas, saying they are engaged!
May:  Tim passes his final tests and becomes a permanent employee and Apprentice Lineman with PG and E!  Now they know they will be in Bakersfield for the next 5 years at least.    While Brennan is at a baby shower for a friend, Tim climbs Mount Whitney with some of his buddies.  Tim and Brennan take a trip to Brookings, OR and get to be with all of Tim’s family!

June:  Tim works out of town due to a huge wind storm.  Tim and Brennan celebrate their 3rd wedding anniversary (yes already!)  They have been 3 wonderful years!  Tim leaves for his 1st Apprentice class in Livermore.  For the next 4 years (apprenticeship), every 6 months, Tim will go for a month of training in Livermore and a month of transmission line work (wherever needed.)
July/August:  Brennan drives up to Yreka, CA and attends the Grow Ramey Family Reunion!  Tim gets to come up for the weekend of the reunion!  It is a wonderful event w/ wonderful people and beautiful country surrounding them.  It is held “down river” near Seiad Valley, Ca.  Brennan gets to stay with her parents in Yreka, stops one night in Redding to see Grandma Grow before she reaches Livermore.

Tim and Brennan meet up with Evan, Katlyn, Ryan, Donovan and Kayla and spend a day in San Francisco and a day in Walnut Creek, CA.

Tim comes back home, in time to leave for his transmission line work, leaving a yard in Tracy, CA and working for 2 weeks in Chico, CA.  A fire is near by, causing no visibility for the helicopters to take lineman up to hard to access poles.  On Saturday, August 4th  the fire is 2,500 acres and 5 percent contained….on Monday, August 6th the fire has grown to 10,000 acres and 0 percent contained, this is why the pictures are so hazy.   Tim will be finishing up transmission line work in Santa Rosa, CA on August 24th.

Tim's brother, Thomas, was united with his partner Robert, during a ceremony overlooking the ocean in Brookings, OR.  It was a beautiful day.  We love them very much.  Brennan is at home talking to mortgage lenders and realtors, trying to find a good home/deal.  It is a tight market in BakersfieldCA, with the banks holding onto homes.  Brennan also is bicycling, up to 16 miles a day in 1 hour and 16 minutes!

November:  Tim & Brennan make a surprise trip to Medford for Dad Moore’s 60th birthday!  Tim is also surprised due to Mom & Dad dieting and looking slim and trim!  All the Moore family is together and has a nice surprise birthday for Dad.  Tim & Brennan return to Bakersfield with their nephew, Clayson.  The next 3 days Tim & Brennan have a wonderful time with Clayson and realize how much life will change once children come along (no they are not expecting.)  Mom & Dad George and Cubby & Seanna come for Thanksgiving and bring Brennan’s piano!  They go to Fresno and visit Brennan’s Great-Great Uncle Butch and Aunt Vie and Tim’s Uncle Rich & Aunt Sandy, having good visits.  They go to Cheese Cake Factory mmmmmm.   Tim spends 4 days and nights on storm damage in Fresno/Sonora.
